I am ready to be done...

I am in a bad mood today. My eye decided it wanted to feel like there was hot ashes in it all day. I fell when I tried to get in the shower tonight. My reward for being good and going to the gym. I got a huge papercut at work trying to be nice and refill the printer. I feel like this guy...

I loved this book when I was little and when I called my mom, she totally knew what I was talking about. It feels good to be understood sometimes. :)

So, here is my outfit from today. I am totally cheating tomorrow and posting my polka dot outfit for EBEW. That's right, I'm cheating. Well, not technically because I did wear a lot more outfits than I took pictures of. I will catch up with the other 8 outfits this week, I promise.

Black shirt 3 Ways

So, I liked the idea of styling the same item a couple times in a row. I think it really shows it's versatility and shows how easy it is to use a couple of the same items for different occasions.

Here is my black H&M t-shirt. I love this thing! For the first outfit, I really wanted to wear this black skirt again. It is really light and flowy but I have a hard time figuring out how to wear it. I found a black slip at the thrift store which makes this skirt a lot easier to wear. When I tucked stuff into the skirt by itself, you could totally see it! Now, I can tuck it in to the slip and everything works! The second outfit is a similar concept but a different result. Still a black t-shirt and scarf but totally changes the feeling when paired with my grey skinnies and a more rockin' scarf. The third outfit is that green maxi skirt again! It is really comfy but still stylish. I paired it with my huge necklace that I rarely wear. I am finding out that I really suck at accessorizing. Sorry, I am totally sucking at getting pictures of my feet! Today seemed like an omen of things to come because there is blue sky and I'm pretty sure it's above freezing. YAY!

Favorite Finds Friday and FBFF!

I haven't done this in a week or 2 so here is one of my favorite finds. This actually came from Buffalo Exchange and is the great neon greenish yellow. It is like a shortsleeved sweatshirt. Hard to wear because it is either too cold or too warm to wear it. The neck is really wide so it looks weird when I put a longsleeve shirt under it. I need to find a boat neck shirt to wear under it for the winter.

1. What's your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product? Does Target count as a drug store because that is where I get all my make up. I like having fun colored eye shadows. I usually only wear mascara so I would say that is my favorite. I wear one in a yellow tube. (shows how much I know) My favorite high end product is the only thing I spend more than 5 bucks on and that's my Clinique concealer. I have really really pale skin and I found a color there that matches perfectly.

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can't live without? I can't live without mascara as I said before. I have long eyelashes but they are blonde. So, mascara is a MUST. Otherwise I get the question all day, "Are you tired? You look tired."

3. What's the best hair product you've ever used? Wow this is hard because I have crappy hair. It is super fine and thin, and is stick straight. I really like Aveda products because of their philosophy and how great they smell. However, I can't afford to use them all the time. So, I use this new line from Pantene for fine hair. I have the hairspray and spray gel and they work great. I also can't wear my hair down without putting volumizing mousse in it so I always have to have that on hand. Not that it looks like it but without it, it would be even worse!

4. Fess up, what's the worst beauty look you've tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that? I used to have these huge bangs that took over my whole head. I will scan a picture sometime and show you :) They always look greasy and they were just so far up my head, they looked terrible! I also used to be a big fan of blue eyeshadow and lilac eyeliner. Not at the same time though!

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality? I wear black eyeliner with a cat eye a lot which I'm sure doesn't separate me from other bloggers but none of my friends wear their make-up like that. I also think part of what separates me is my skin. It is really pale and I've never really had acne. So, I am pretty proud of how good it looks most of the time!

18 Outfits and Counting...

I'm almost to 20! I WILL finish this. You may see a post of about 10 outfits haha. Not much to talk about today so just see my 2 boring pictures :) I realized that I never get pictures of my feet because I don't want to stand further back and get more of my messy place in the background. Today it was my little brown moccasins. I actually wore this to work today! I know, I know. It was like static central though and super annoying but at least I looked somewhat cute.

I just realized you can totally see Ace's butt while he's eating dinner in the background. haha

17 Again

Well, not again. I just really love that movie. :) I have to admit I am getting really sick of being stuck taking photos. It is March people. Didn't mother nature get the freakin' memo? Apparently not. She thought it would be funny to have it be -2 this morning when I went to work. Man, she can be such a bitch!

This is what I wore to get "coffee" with this couple my boyfriend met on the internet. I think I already discussed this but it was nice to hang out with new people. My tongue still hurts from the liquid hot magma that pretended to be hot chocolate. I just wanted to point out that this is 2 posts in a row AND I actually wore this outfit today. I know, I know. I rule.

I have to admit that I was feeling a little plump today so you only get close up pictures that I have deemed ok. I did have a salad for lunch for the 2nd time this week. In case you were wondering, hell just froze over. ;)

Tried to show my cute little flower earrings but instead they are out of focus. The thing that's in focus in my Quasimodo style hunch back. It's ok, you can chuckle.

I have been totally slacking on my jewelry so today I did phase one: glue. Resin tomorrow!

Ready for a 3 Way?

Ha! I really wanted to say threesome but I didn't know if that would be cool. What do people call it these days? Better ask the kids. I'm too old at 27 to know.

So, in trying to catch up on my 30 for 30, I came up with a brilliant plan. I have worn this stripped shirt a million times but it has never made it up until now. I thought to myself, "Self, why don't you show them 10 ways to wear the same thing in one post?!" Self gets carried away sometimes so you only get 3 remixes in one post. Sorry self.

This is a necklace I made. I thought it went well with the tights and the dress being similar colors. I am thinking of doing a giveaway of one of my necklaces. I wonder if anyone would enter...

A little pattern mixing was in order to liven up this look with jeans. The full length picture didn't turn out so I will tell you that I wore this with my short little grey boots. Oh, and that behind me is no mirror. No, it is a giant picture of my dog. I swear.

PS. I must have an odd shaped head because all my headbands do this weird gappy thing. Does anyone else have that problem or am I just a weirdo. Well, a weirdo in terms of large gaps between my head and the band. I already know I'm a weirdo for other things :)

Over halfway! This would be even better if it wasn't March already and everyone else is pretty much done. Ah, I suck at life. But, I will be conquer you 30 for 30!!

2 Birds With 1 Stone

So, you get 2 outfits today! Hooray! Aren't you so excited? I know I am. I'm trying to do some catch up here. The first outfit I just tried on for something different, not sure if I will wear it at all. The second outfit scared me a little too. I put on my chambray shirt instead of a cardigan... dun dun duhhhhh. I know, I know. I am such a fashion rebel. It was snowing pretty hard yesterday so I didn't end up wearing either of these. I changed into jeans and wore them with the purple shirt and my black cardigan. Then, I made chocolate chip cookies and ate about 1/2 the dough and 3 (or 5) cookies. I watched a lot of Castle and Fringe so all in all, very productive :)

Hope you all had a good weekend! Oh, and today is the debut of the 30th item... my new shoes!! Shawn got them for me for Valentines and I love them. I have been looking at lace up oxfords forever and couldn't find a reasonable pair. These were on sale (score!) because apparently all people are now interested in sandals. We are all wearing sandals up here in MN. Because who doesn't wear sandals with our recent 15 inches of snow? I'm sure these will be worn about 50 million more times on this blog so for now all you get is a crappy picture of them. But don't fret. :)
