Right before I left for the baptism (the night before actually), I attended a really cool show. It was for a local Minnesota artist named Jeremy Messersmith. I've loved his music for a while now but haven't made it to any shows. When I randomly found out about this tour (on twitter I think), I jumped at the chance. The Supper Club Tour concept is really original. He posts what cities he will be touring in and people volunteer to host the show at their house. There are only as many tickets for sale as there is room in each house. Our show had probably about 30-35 people. All of the people attending the show bring a dish to share. So, you get one of your favorite artists playing right in front of you while you enjoy a delicious potluck meal.
I suppose you don't host a tour like this if you are full of yourself or a jerk but needless to say, Jeremy was a really nice guy. He stayed around talking to everyone, signing autographs and taking photos (see blurry photo proof above) for a long time after he finished playing. Check out the tour schedule here and see if he is coming to your neck of the woods. It was an awesome experience!
This is one of my favorite songs by him. Check it out!
Oh my gosh, that sounds like an awesome experience!
